What?

Saturday march 29th the Dutch Constitution celebrates its 200th birthday with a Constitution festival in The Hague! Participate in tours, workshops and outdoor activities and enjoy theatre performances to experience the constitution.

Visitors of The Prison Gate Museum can take part in a theatrical tour especially crafted for the occasion. Storytellers Caja van der Poel, Michael Driebeek van der Ven and Ernst Drukker tell true tales of the Jailer, the Lawyer and the Executioner in a time when the was no constitution. Follow them on this dark journey and enjoy a plunge into some rough and murky days.

The theatrical tours start every 30 minutes. Every 20 minutes when it gets very busy.

The Prison Gate Museum is opened from 11.00 – 17.00 FREE ENTRY.

Attention: The Museum is not appropriate for children younger than 8 and is not wheel chair accessible. (Advised age for children is 10+)
