What?

The moving, even real, love story of the Dutch Consul General Cornelis Calkoen and the beautiful Ottoman lady Bayez Gül lends itself like no other to be told at a wedding. The story speaks of a true love that saw it all, not only wondrous joy, butterflies and sunshine. But also sadness, longing and loss and above all trust. Calkoen and Gül did not allow their love to be obstructed by the boundaries of language or culture and certainly not by borders. For a long time they were seperated, always on their way to be reunited and thus always together.
